CFL Season Starts

June 28th, 2008 · No Comments

The CFL season kicks off tonight.

It is the 55th season of the league. The 96th Grey Cup will be played in Montreal.

I am a huge fan of the Canadian Football League.

Byron Parker is one of my favorite players in the league. So is Dominique Dorsey. Both of them play for the Toronto Argonauts.

When I played college football at CW Post, I wanted to play in the Canadian Football League. After tearing up my knees I reluctantly let go of that dream.

At one time I wished to have enough money to purchase a team in the Atlantic Provinces, which for so long as hoped for expansion. I think the next team needs to go to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

I used to have my family members video-record CFL games and send them to me. When the cable networks here started to broadcast the games, I got into a huge fight with my girlfriend because I was taking up too much space on the DVR with my Labour Day football recordings.

If I ever was a head coach, or a top assistant position with a high school or college football team, I would use the rules of the CFL to improve traditional American football. Man, if you can cover wide receivers in foward motion, a receiver standing still at the snap doesn’t have a chance.

Check out the youtube site of the CFL and check them out.

And now, with TSN on demand, all games are available to view.
