NFL Week 3 picks.
While every game is a BIG game, the most intriguing match-ups to me are:
Oakland vs. Buffalo. Can the Kiffinites run the ball against a Greater Buffalo-Toronto team that won a huge road game against the Jags, after traveling 3000 plus miles?
My pick is Bills.

New Orleans vs. Denver. Offensive shootout with the two Eastern Illinois Panthers alumni (do you believe Brad Childress, head coach of the Vikings is also an alum? Go Panthers!) Payton and Shanahan going for the jugular. This will be a high scoring affair. Can you imagine if Colson was healthy?
But he’s not, and the Broncos take advantage with their power running game and go to 3-0.

Dallas vs. Green Bay. Great match-up on Sunday Night on NBC. Two legendary teams who are both off to 2-0 starts. Romo comes home–is he bringing Jessica to Mama ?
This is a legit match-up for both teams. Jerry’s boys get to see how well they stack up on the road. Aaron’s Army get to see how he will fare in his 2nd big game at Lambeau.
The Cowboys will show their dominance and win.

Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia — Battle of the Battleground states (Cleveland always plays Cincinnati twice. Sorry Ohio fans). McNabb and Westbrook coming off a good offensive game against Dallas Monday night. Steelers defense will provide more resistance than the Cowboys. I am looking to the Polamalu-Westbrook match-up.
The Steelers of Western Pa. come away with the trophy this time.

New York Jets vs. San Diego — Monday night game. Big stage for the Broadway Bretts, going cross-country to play a Bolts team, who have been literally in their two games until the final play, nad who are without Shawne Merriman, and could possibly without LT.
In an exciting contest, with Mangini releasing the reins and allowing Brett to gunsling, Chargers still have too much firepower.

Tyler Thigpen Watch
The man who helped put the Chanticleer football program on the map makes his first start. The SFP blog loves the underdog so we are going to monitor him here.

Look at that smile! Got to love it.
Thigpen leads Chiefs to thier first win in 11 games over the Falcons this week.
And they have to win now as the Arrowhead’s schedule in the next two months are: Broncos, Panthers, Titans, Jets, Buccaneers, Charges, Saints and Bills
In the remainder of the Week 3 match-ups; Panthers goes to 3-0, along with the Patriots, Giants, Titans, and Cardinals. (yes, the Kurt Warner Cardinals).
The Bears, and 49ers will win, as well.
The Seahawks, Browns, and Jaguars will be joining the Chargers in getting their first notch in the W column.
Enjoy the games this weekend, and please, leave Ed Huckuli alone.

And mamas of staring quarterbacks: BE QUIET! or don’t let you sons to grow up to be quarterbacks.
