I guess the success of Gino and Calhoun has spread to the gridiron squad up in Storrs.

UConn had 4 players picked in on the first day, all ironically whose surnames start with B.
Donald Brown, RB, who went with the 27th pick in the first round to the Colts.

Darius Butler, DB, who went with the 9th pick in the second round (41) to the Patriots.

William Beatty, OT, who went with the 28th pick of the 2nd round (60) to the Giants.

and Cody Brown. DE, who went with the 31st pick of the round (63) to the Cardinals.

Southern Cal had 5 players picked on the first day.
And that could be expected.
UConn with 4. Not!
Up until today, UConn had never had a player drafted in the 1st or 2nd round.
Coach Edsell is building something special in Storrs.
And he did it with special players like Brown, who held a leadership conference days leading up to the draft.
Good luck to all those Huskies.
Can you believe that Donald Brown played with Georgia RB Knowshown Moreno in Pop Warner in NJ, and they did not win a championship? Unbelievable. I’d like to see the team that beat them.
